Jesus is the ULTIMATE contrarian; always thinking outside the box; always taking the accepted norms and tearing them to shreds.

“You think you’re supposed to love those who love you, and hate those who hate you?” Jesus says. “Well I SAY: Love your ENEMIES! You think the rich are blessed? Well I SAY, blessed are the POOR! You think that a life lived after me is an easy one, full of riches and an easy life? Well, I SAY you will suffer and be PERSECUTED for my sake! Think about it! BOOM!”

And hey; Jesus is GOD, and what he really is about, in telling us to “think about it”, (or, as he often says, “those who have ears, let him hear,”) is to show us the TRUTH. So when Jesus says this stuff, LET YOUR MIND BE BLOWN.
