In a world that thinks it’s smarter than it is; when I think I am smarter than I am; when the trappings of my own mind try and distort the messages that God speaks to me and the incessant white noise of the world erodes the foundation of my faith;

I will remember the beauty of the simplicity of the message of the Transfiguration. I will remember that I follow Jesus Christ, and THAT is all that matters. I will remember that if I had two people standing before me, and one of them was Jesus, and one of them was some professor or some guy at a party or some cynical intellectual; and Jesus was telling me one thing, and the other person was telling me something else, then I would listen to Jesus 8 days a week and twice on Sunday.
