Happy Easter Devotion: The Resurrection
We live in the age after the resurrection
of Christ, but before his return and the resurrection of the dead.
That's where the story is right now.
You see, ALL of what is written in Mark, and in ALL the
Scriptures, is still pointing forward! It is pointing FORWARD
to the ending; only it all feels a little incomplete; like it
doesn't HAVE an ending; and the reason is simple:
the ending hasn't happened yet!
But, and here's the key thing: if Jesus is ALIVE, then we
KNOW how it will end.
It is a fantastic ending. It is the BEST. It is where we finally SEE
the purpose of Jesus dying. It's where we FINALLY GET
the “happily ever After"

Happy Easter! He Lives!
He died. He LIVES. He is coming again. And you
will live forever, in a place with no pain, no sorrow,
no worry, no lonliness, no heartache,
no goodbyes to loved ones... no death.
Just joy and love and peace, one
with another, with our Lord and Savior
Jesus Christ, forever. Now
that's a good story.
So, this Easter, rejoice! I tell you he lives!

Good Friday
Today we contemplate how terribly difficult it was for our Savior, King Jesus, to carry out the demands of His office. Despite betrayal, denial, injustice, and torture, Christ steadfastly moved forward to His death. In so doing He gained for us, through the forgiveness of our sin, citizenship in His kingdom.

Do you want to know what happened today?
2000 years ago Jesus was preparing to celebrate the Passover, a meal commemorating the deliverance of God’s people from slavery under the Egyptians. What significance there was in that this meal itself for centuries was done to foreshadow what he was about to do: that as the lamb who came to take away the sins of the world, he would deliver God’s people from the slavery of death.

Easter Egg Pizza!
This is so fun to make and so good to eat!
What you should do first…
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees
- Lightly grease a round non-stick pizza pan
What you need…
- Your favorite sugar cookie dough recipe (or you can simply buy a refrigerated roll of sugar cookie dough)
- Chocolate Frosting ( you can buy a can of chocolate frosting)
- coconut + 3 drops of green food coloring
- chocolate eggs or jelly beans
Assembly…
- Press cookie dough onto a round pizza pan. Try to have dough in a thin layer so it will not overflow in the oven.
- Place in oven and bake for 13 minutes. Cookie is done baking when top is no longer shiny.
- Remove from oven and let cool for 30 minutes.
- Frost with your favorite chocolate frosting and sprinkle.
- Take the coconut and add 3 drop of green food coloring, lightly toss with your hands to incorporate color. Once you have reached the perfect shade of green, sprinkle over frosting.
- Add chocolate eggs or jelly beans on top of frosting.
- You have an Easter Egg Pizza! Enjoy!

Morning Devotion: Christ Has First Done Everything For you!
So the positive things you identify yourself with? The roles your play; the job you have; the things you enjoy; all those things you can see through this truth: you are a child of God. You belong to Jesus Christ. And so you can serve others and work and play and have EVERYTHING you do flow from the fact that Christ has first done everything for you!
