WE, dear Christians; we rely on Christ. And him crucified. He fulfills the law. He does not break the bruised reed or extinguishing the smoldering wick.

And because his blood was shed for you; God himself is not a burning son that consumes you as fire;

He is instead your Father; who is a warm glow of unending love; and with whom you will dwell forever and ever and the day of Jesus’ return.

So, YES! I will boast! But not in my own strength. As St. Paul bids us do even this very evening: “Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord!”

Not in our strength, but always, then, in Christ’s. For He is God. And we are not.
