You see, this is the problem with the way the WORLD questions God. And WE must make sure that WE do not fall into this temptation also! You see, the Scriptures themselves make a distinction between coming to God and questioning, and what the Scriptures call “grumbling” against God. What is the difference? FAITH. FAITH.

So the world questions God as though we DESERVE answers. The world questions God and says that if it is not vindicated, then it will conclude that God either does not exist, or is not GOOD, or is not Almighty. The WORLD, when they question God, say that HE is not righteous!

How the world has forgotten its place! God is not our elected official, to be held into account by us; HE is the Creator of all! And he is not some arbitrary God against which we need to rebel! Often enough we act like we must simply oblige God because He is a powerful tyrant, taking every hit the world gives and having to smile while we do it! We act like God demands that we take all his “wickedness” towards us on the chin and then proudly say “Thank you, sir! May I have another!”

But God is neither wicked, nor arbitrary, nor a tyrant. Neither is he to be held accountable by us.
